I've attended a 3 month 3D course, and this is what I finally made in the last one month - THE BOXING RING.
I created a short animation for it, and displayed by different ways to show it, and for creating the logo, I have referred many things like movies, posters and filmlet, etc, I like it a lot :)
The following photos are I show some development stages, and some important parts of the details, like how I improved the composition, and how I did lighting, and about the textures and material.
Firstly when I got this 2d concept, there were lots of people around the boxing ring, my mask was to create the environment, so I had to ignore those people and tried to think what I could add into the pic instead of them. It's not a normal boxing ring, it's street boxing ring, so I collected some similar references.

This is a contrast pic of two models that I show in wireframe render. First one is I did from the 2d concept, another one is I did a lot of adjustments to perfect the composition. It's really an important part and also not easy, hard to tell how much effort I did for this.
Final model rendered with wireframe.
Only model
Only specular
Bump
Combine them in one pic
These are some textures I used and the materials
This is how I do lighting with this model, I use vray light. Green light to brighten the ceiling, yellow plane light to brighten the wooden stage.
Some little omni green lights for ceiling to embellish the color. The white mark is spot lights and give them some light effects.
Fixing the lights.
Contrast pic between before and after.
At first and finished.
